Our client in Berrien County is seeking a Quality Assurance Technician. 1st shift hours 7: 00am-3: 30pm Monday - Friday but must be available to work OT as needed. This position is responsible for performing quality assurance reviews and uniformity testing on industrial ovens, Duties will involve reading technical drawings, reports, and work instructions, performing electrical, gas, water, and air troubleshooting, performing Program Logic Control (PLC), operator interface, communication, and frequency drive programming and debugging, quality assurance review of assembled industrial ovens, entering and manipulating data on personal computer using MS Office software, developing working relationships with other departments to address and resolve issues, participate in cross functional teams to address and resolve manufacturing, design, and quality problems, and to ensure the continuous improvement of processes and methods, as well as occasionally travel to customer sites to install and start up industrial ovens and oven systems and complete special projects assigned. Must have a Associate's Degree or equivalent from college or technical school or the equivalent training/experience in an electrical/electronic technical field. Must have knowledge of temperature control system, start up, and debugging processes, experience with Program Logic Controls (PLC), operator interface, communications, and frequency programming and debugging processes, as well as Lean Manufacturing experience. Temp to hire position starting out at $16.00/hour - $20.00/hour depending on experience.
