Job Description

1st shift Welder/Fabricator Local company looking for responsible, innovative Welder/Fabricator. Must have a basic knowledge of shop math, have the ability to read welding blueprints,, and have a passion for welding/fabrication.  Hours:  7:00am – 3:30pm Monday – Friday w/overtime as needed This is a temp to hire position starting out at$17/hr. - $22/hr. depending on experience.  Responsibilities:
  • Must have experience with Stick, MIG, TIG, and Flux Core welding, and have the ability to operate acetylene and oxygen torches
  • Experience with brazing, thermal, and arc cutting activities
  • Must know and understand vertical up/pipe welding for hydraulics and be familiar with various welding rod classifications
  • Prior experience working with different types of steel a plus
  • Experience working with saws, plasma cutters, pipe benders and/or shears 
 Qualifications:
  • Must have minimum of 2 years of experience and/or 1 year of college or vocational training
  • Must have own tools (center punches, hammer, wrenches, chipping hammers and 4 ½” grinder)
  • Working from ladders, man lifts
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Responsible for quality control of parts from start to finish
  • Must be able to pay close attention to details
  • Able to read blueprints/schematics 
  • Must be able to work with minimal supervision and multi-task
