1st Shift CNC Supervisor-6a-2pm

This position is responsible for supervising the CNC department, managing setting up and troubleshooting various machines and operations, monitoring processes and results and prioritizing work under guidelines from management. This position coordinates the activities of production, Maintenance and Quality personnel to achieve optimal results.
*Supervise the employees in the safe production of quality machined castings to customer standards.
*Be knowledgeable of, implement and train the employees in the standard operating and quality procedures.
*Organize, maintain and analyze production performance records and data. Approve employees shift time and work performed through manually and digitally. Communicate conclusions and results.
*Understand, communicate and enthusiastically strive to achieve the safety, quality and production requirements of the department and the company. Initiate and foster a spirit of cooperation within and between departments.
*Work with all employees, either directly or indirectly responsible for, or involved in, the successful operation of the department by communicating necessary information in a timely manner.
*Practice continuous improvement events: organization, 5S, work flow, standard operating procedures, and production processes.
*Maintains schedule adherence by establishing priorities, assigning personnel, monitoring progress, resolving problems and working with the scheduling department to achieve satisfied customers.
*Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions and recommending action.
*Maintains working relationship with the union by following the terms of the contract. Adhere to local, state and federal employment and safety requirements.
*Follow established company policies and procedures.
Knowledge & Skills:
*Broad knowledge and mechanical ability pertaining to CNC machines
*Working knowledge and ability to perform change overs on CNC s and Natco drill presses
*Strong tooling management skills
Working knowledge and understanding of work procedures and blueprints
*Ability to properly use a variety of gauges
*General understanding of Quality Systems, some knowledge pertaining to TS16949
*Ability to perform basic mathematical computations quickly and accurately
*Have a strong work ethic, well organized, and a self-starter
*Detail-oriented, professional and reliable
*Strive for continuous improvement for the company, department and personally
*Employee may perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Work & Education: Minimum of a high school education or equivalent. Ten years experience in metal machining operations, procedures and process control. Past supervisory experience a plus. Possess excellent written, oral, arithmetic skills and basic computer programs, (Word & Excel).
Hours: 6a-2pm- M-F (OT as needed)
Pay: $19 per hr
