1st Shift Accounting ClerkLocation: Benton Harbor, MISchedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 am - 5:00 pmHourly Rate: $17.50 per hour Summary:We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual as a 1st Shift Accounting Clerk. This role involves handling various accounting tasks, including data entry, processing transactions, and maintaining accurate financial records. If you have experience in accounting and a strong attention to detail, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities:
  • Data Entry: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software, including invoices, payments, and receipts.
  • Transaction Processing: Assist with processing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate financial records, including filing and documentation.
  • Reconciliation: Assist with reconciling bank statements, accounts, and financial discrepancies.
  • Reporting: Generate financial reports as needed and assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Communication: Collaborate with other departments to resolve accounting discrepancies and ensure smooth financial operations.
  • Compliance: Adhere to company policies and accounting standards to ensure compliance with regulations.
 Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required
  • Associate degree in Business or Accounting or 1 to 2 years’ experience in accounting related job
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
