The Maintenance position is responsible for performing routine maintenance on paint line ovens, high temperature-hot water (HTHW) systems, wastewater treatment and auxiliary equipment including but not limited to inspections, installations, removal, lubrication, cleaning, and related functions as required to support the production process. Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical and electrical malfunctions and breakdowns. Communicating and working with other maintenance and production personnel to accomplish all maintenance and repair tasks in a timely and safe manner. Reviewing and inspecting any repairs or modifications made to equipment performed by others. Maintaining accurate and timely written records to communicate maintenance and repair activities to other shifts and the Maintenance Manager. Sending source documents to the front office to comply with State and Federal recordkeeping. Performing roll grinding to eliminate defects in paint rolls. Performing other maintenance, repair, and related tasks as directed by Maintenance Manager. Perform all duties while maintaining compliance with regulatory safety requirements, e.G., OSHA Implementing preventative maintenance schedule on all equipment and systems, so that malfunctions and breakdowns are minimized. Ordering supplies and maintaining inventory of parts for equipment in a cost efficient manner.
Contacting licensed contractors or inspectors as necessary to maintain and repair paintline equipment.
Being willing to learn and become proficient in new trades or skills as directed by Maintenance Manager. Previous experience in manufacturing processes and equipment repair required and experience in waste water treatment preferred. Wage starts at $18.00/hr.
