2nd Shift Supervisor/Press Operator Location: Eau Claire, MI Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:20 pm w/overtime as needed Hourly Rate: Depending upon experience Summary:We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual as a 2nd Shift Supervisor/Press Operator. This role will oversee press operations and lead the production team during the 2nd shift. - Press Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor presses to produce high-quality products according to specifications. Setting up and pulling molds.
- Supervision: Supervise and lead production team members during the evening shift, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
- Training: Provide training and guidance to press operators on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality control measures.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
- Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on presses and equipment to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime. Empty hoppers & grinders.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with presses and equipment, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, downtime logs, and quality inspection records.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a press operator or in a similar manufacturing role is required.
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
- Knowledge of press operation techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with maintenance tasks.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
