Job Description

2nd Shift Supervisor/Press Operator Location: Eau Claire, MI Schedule: Monday to Friday, 3:00 pm - 11:20 pm w/overtime as needed Hourly Rate: Depending upon experience Summary:We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual as a 2nd Shift Supervisor/Press Operator. This role will oversee press operations and lead the production team during the 2nd shift. If you have previous experience in press operation and leadership skills, we encourage you to apply for this opportunity. 
Responsibilities:
  • Press Operation: Set up, operate, and monitor presses to produce high-quality products according to specifications. Setting up and pulling molds.
  • Supervision: Supervise and lead production team members during the evening shift, ensuring adherence to production schedules and quality standards.
  • Training: Provide training and guidance to press operators on equipment operation, safety procedures, and quality control measures.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections of products to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
  • Maintenance: Perform basic maintenance tasks on presses and equipment to ensure smooth operation and minimize downtime. Empty hoppers & grinders.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with presses and equipment, implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, downtime logs, and quality inspection records.
 
Qualifications:
  • Previous experience as a press operator or in a similar manufacturing role is required.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.
  • Knowledge of press operation techniques, equipment, and safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude and familiarity with maintenance tasks.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to safety regulations.
